SING YOUR HEART OUT KIRTAN

Activate the chemistry of inner bliss with Julia Berkeley and Matthew Hufschmidt in a celebratory Kirtan at Move Sanctuary.

Kirtan is a call and response chanting practice that moves the heart towards an experience of inner silence, boundless love, and intimate union with the Divine.

Whether it’s your first time or you’ve been doing it forever come and enjoy the regenerative power of mantra and sacred sound in the valley of the moon.

As Krishna Das says “The ability to sing beautifully is enjoyable, but not necessary. What matters is singing from the heart.” You don’t need to be able to sing, just be willing to give it a go and feel the effects!

Cost: $27

ABOUT MATTHEW

Matthew Hufschmidt is a multi-instrumentalist musician who has had the honor of playing and creating music with numerous artists and groups of various styles.

When Matthew was introduced to Kirtan, through Saul David Raye, the language and rhythmic patterns rekindled an inner knowing that transformed his art from performance into devotional practice.

As a drummer, percussionist and singer Matthew has accompanied many in the community at Kirtans, yoga classes, retreats and festivals.

There is a silent hum of truth and harmony under the roar of uncertainty and chaos in the world now. Listen carefully and you will hear.”
