The journey of parenting requires ongoing reflection, conviction and leadership.

We have countless opportunities to teach and love our children through the boundaries we set. By shifting our perspective to recognize “challenging” moments as healthy interactions, we can grow our skills as parents and in turn strengthen our connection to our children.

This parent workshop will be experiential and discussion based. Time will be spent reflecting on ways that we hold boundaries in our lives that serve and when we are challenged to do so. We will offer ways to communicate with children in direct and concise ways that honor their emotions and keep us centered and clear in our intentions (both short & long term).

The earlier we begin to practice loving leadership through clear communication, the easier it becomes to hold boundaries from a place of conviction and certainty that we are being of service to our children, even if it feels hard for them in the moment. Ultimately, our intentional parenting empowers us, our children and our relationship.

This workshop is most appropriate for parents of infants through 9 years old (roughly).

Please pre-register as space is limited.

Cost: $30/adult, $15/child*

*A simultaneous children’s program will be facilitated by Alicia Rothman of Wild Acorns Learning Village in the backyard of Move Sanctuary. To reserve a spot for your child please pay Alicia directly via venmo @aliciahoneybee. Ages 5 and older are welcome.

“To be in what I call disagreement with children is very, very healthy. It teaches them that it’s

safe to be in disagreement and love goes on.”

~ Janet Lansbury

Juniper Dwight has been working with children for over 20 years and continues to meet them with excitement, kindness and an infectious love of learning that they can’t help but return. She completed her AMI Montessori Primary Directress training in Denver, Co. in 2003. She is the lead teacher and directress of Ojai Meadows Montessori.

Juniper has a gentle and engaging way. She meets each child where they are, nurtures their independence and self-direction, and maintains the happy hum of a productive classroom. Her classroom is full of focus, empathy, willingness to work toward mastery, independence, creativity, curiosity, and the desire to be helpful. Juniper enriches the classroom with music, arts and crafts, and is especially gifted at opening doors to literacy both in language and mathematics. Her appreciation of the natural world permeates all aspects of her classroom environment.

Jess Sieber Grasso is devoted to advocating for children through transformational work that strengthens the parent-child relationship and supports parents to be conscious leaders.

Jess has worked with children for over twenty years in both traditional classrooms, nature-based learning environments, and in parent child groups. She currently facilitates the Mama Reset Circle, a weekly group for mother’s and babies up to 12 months.

Jess was mentored by Carol Castanon, an Ojai legend, as a parent consultant and she is currently completing her parent coaching certification with Jai Institute for Parenting. Jess offers parent coaching with an emphasis on consciousness and leadership.
