West African Dance Workshop: Dancing the Orisha's

Join us for a fun, medium paced dance workshop learning the amazing Yoruba style dance from Nigeria. You will be guided in movement and techniques while given the freedom to feel into the space and community naturally.

We will take time to embody some of the Gods and Goddesses, connecting to ourselves personally as a source of energy and light.

No prior dance experience is necessary, as this class is free from the need to get it “right”.

Adults and teens 16 and older are welcome.


Cost: $40/person


About Your Facilitator:

Allena is a native of Southern California who has spent the last 20+ years learning with Master dancers and drummers of West African Dance (Yoruba Style). She has traveled and performed in various venues throughout California over the years. Allena’s life's work and joy is bringing this dance to her community as a source of healing and joy. She teaches live classes and hosts day retreats and workshops in Los Angeles in person and on zoom.

Allena is also deeply passionate about Mothering her two children.
